The Venue

Set within one of Scotland’s most impressive buildings and located in the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant Merchant City, Hutchesons is a venue like no other. Spread across three floors, it consists of the 158 Club Lounge; a stylish, boutique speakeasy specialising in champagne and cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find the City Grill, a bustling first floor restaurant that showcases the very best Scottish produce, with a focus on choice scotch beef. Topping it all off is the Glenfarclas private dining room; guests have their own dedicated server, private bathroom and will enjoy a unique experience fit for any occasion. 

The Job

The Floor Captain is an integral part of the front of house team at Hutchesons City Grill, overseeing the service procedures and ensuring their fellow team members are working effectively, efficiently and have the support they need in order to deliver the standard of service that Rusk & Rusk pride themselves on.

The Person

The right candidate will have significant experience at a supervisory level with a high quality, fast paced and dynamic restaurant operation. Running a busy section should be second nature to the successful candidate and they should be confident in organising and supporting team members. Being highly personable, full of energy and taking pride in your work go without saying; The Captain is a key member of the team and should be a shining example excellent service.
