The Venue – Hutchesons City Grill
Set within one of Scotland’s most impressive buildings and located in the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant Merchant City, Hutchesons is a venue like no other.Spread over three floors, it consists of The 158 Club Lounge: A stylish, boutique speakeasy, specialising in champagne and cocktails. Head upstairs and you’ll find The City Grill, a bustling first floor restaurant that showcases the very best produce that Scotland has to offer, with a focus on choice Scotch Beef.Topping it all off, quite literally as it’s found on the top floor, is The Glenfarclas Private Dining Room, the last word in exclusivity and seclusion; Guests have their own dedicated server, private bathroom and will enjoy a unique experience fit for any occasion.
Junior Sous Chef;
The Junior Sous Chef is a key member of the kitchen team at Hutchesons. The Junior Sous Chef is expected to manage their station and provide the highest levels of consistency on the dishes that they are tasked with cooking. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the kitchen as well as supervising and training junior members of the brigade and deputising in the Head Chef’s and Sous Chef’s absence.
Working to a high spec, the Junior Sous Chef will be fluent in working across various stations. Where required, the Junior Sous Chef will provide support to the Senior Sous and Head Chef, as well as assist in stock takes, ordering, prep and cleaning.
Chef De Partie;
The Chef De Partie is a key member of the kitchen team at Hutchesons. The Chef De Partie is expected to manage their station and provide the highest levels of consistency on the dishes that they are tasked with cooking. The right candidate will have a minimum of two years kitchen experience working within high quality, high volume venues. The ideal Chef De Partie should be passionate about food and enthusiastic about getting to work with the very best produce sourced from the highest standard of suppliers. A creative streak and a want to explore new ideas is essential.
